ZTE Star 3 might be the first smartphone with 4K-display

If you believe the latest rumors from anonymous sources, the Chinese company ZTE could in the very near future introduce ZTE Star 3 – the world’s first smartphone with a 4K-display.
According to available information, device will be equipped with 5.5-inch display with a resolution of 3840×2160 pixels and a pixel density of a record – 806 ppi.

The ZTE Star 3 might use TFT-panel with a special crystal structure, which is designed to ensure the reduction of energy consumption and improved image quality.

Recall, Sharp announced a 5.5-inch panel with 4K-pixel density of 806 ppi back in April, but the company has indicated that up to 2016 the mass production of these screens will not start.

Last week, on the great network appeared the first images of ZTE Star 3. On the representation of the image the back side of the body was bent and the smartphone is equipped with a dual-core camera.

Many are skeptical about the idea of using 4K-displays in such small devices. What do you think about 4k displays on smartphones?
