According to the Chinese Academy of Information and Communication Technology (CAICT), during the 2014 in China has been delivered a total of 452 million mobile phones. This is 21.9% less than in 2013, when it has been delivered 579 million mobile phones.
From 452 million mobile devices, it has been delivered 61 million devices with 2G capabilities (a decrease of 64.4% compared to 2013), 220 million with 3G capabilities (down 46%) and 171 million devices with 4G capabilities.
Deliveries of smartphones were down by 8.2% and in 2014 to the Chinese market has been delivered a total of 389 million smartphones or 86% of all shipments of mobile phones.
