“According to the roadmap, MediaTek in 2015 will in the fourth quarter be presenting a new 64-bit high-end chip MT6796 with eight CPU cores and support for 4G LTE Cat. 6 network”
Based on yet discovered roadmap MediaTek will in the fourth quarter of the 2015 be presenting MT6796, MT6795 chip successor from last year.
The new MT6796 is a 64-bit chip with eight processor cores and 20-nanometer process development (changes in relation to the 28-nanometer process which is found in its predecessor). 4G LTE Cat. 6 networks are supported and offer maximum download speed of 300 Mb/s.
MediaTek MT6796 chip will be designed for installation in equipment upgrades because it is designed as a response to the Qualcomm Snapdragon 810.
As the official presentation scheduled for the fourth quarter of the year, the first devices with the MT6796 chip can be expected at the beginning of next year. (我回顾中国手机)
