HTC One M9 and One M9+ definitely get upgrade to Android M

Yesterday, Google introduced Android M – the latest version of the operating system that will replace the Android Lollipop. Although Android M platform is still under development and will be available to users until the third quarter of this year, many people have already started to wonder what devices will get a new version of the OS. Meanwhile, HTC has confirmed the fact that HTC One M9 and One M9+ will be included in a list of smartphones that will be updated accurately.

Of course, not only these models of smartphones will get the latest version of Android. Jeff Gordon, senior manager of global communications HTC, said that other devices will be updated and they will be announced soon.

According to Google, Android M will bring hundreds of improvements, including improvements in power consumption, simplified application control, support Android Pay, a better user interface and more.

HTC was the first manufacturer who confirmed the upcoming upgrade of their devices to Android M. It is possible that in the near future other companies will share their plans for a software upgrade of their products.
