
The world’s largest manufacturer of electronic elements, Hon Hai Precision Industry Co., Ltd. (also known as Foxconn), will invest 2.8 billion US dollars in equipping the new factory for the display panel in Taiwan. In this venture will engage together with his business partner, Innolux, which specializes in manufacturing screen and currently the third largest producer of panels in the world.
The units of the new factory will be LTPS (low-temperature polysilicon) panels for screens that are intended for installation in smartphones. The infrastructure for this factory in Taiwan’s Kaohsiung was built in 2008, but due to the global economic crisis manufacturing plant were never fitted. Production would, according to the information available now, should start in the second half of 2016.
