Cyanogen canceled cooperation with OnePlus

“Cyanogen will from next year their ROMs produce exclusively for one customer – India’s Micromax”

Cyanogen, a company that celebrated with its Android ROMs, has signed an exclusive cooperation agreement with Indian manufacturer of mobile devices – Micromax. Cyanogen will both their own work in the future enrich only cell phones that manufacturers, who will be next year appear on the market under the brand “Yu”, and will be sold only through the Internet.

The exclusivity of this agreement means that other users of Cyanogen’s ROMs, including the individually strongest OnePlus, will no longer be able to use their services. Owners of OnePlus One smartphone allegedly do not have to worry, because the support for their devices to be available for at least another year, it was confirmed from the company.

After the termination of cooperation with Cyanogen, OnePlus will CyanogenMod  devices safely replaced by another solution. It is speculated that this will be a ROM with OnePlus works in conjunction with the company Oppo, Color OS, with which OnePlus is currently sold in China. Another possibility is that OnePlus develop completely new ROM based on Android Lollipop, but there is no official confirmation for this. (我回顾中国手机)
